Enrichment programs resumed at Giza Zoo 2016
GIZA ZOO - successful campaigns led in cooperation with GOVS, Central Zoos with civil society presented in : Friends of Historical and Public Gardens Society , AWAR - sub group REVITALIZE THE GIZA ZOO (civil society) as of 2007 to align Giza Zoo to PAAZAB Dec. 2008 after Giza Zoo lost its membership and was suspended from WAZA in 2004

. As a preliminary step towards Giza Zoo regaining admittance to WAZA, Giza has applied for membership in the regional African Association of Zoological Gardens and Aquaria (PAAZAB), itself a member of WAZA. If that bid is successful, they can then formally reapply to WAZA.
